[comp.sys.atari.st] Has anyone got the SORRY.LZH game from atari.archive working?

n8742883@unicorn.cc.wwu.edu (Perry Pederson) (03/11/91)

I tried getting the Sorry game to work from atari.archive, but
the program doesn't seem to want to run. It appears that the game
loads about halfway into memory, then crashes-- locking up the
computer. I've done the entire download process from scratch twice
and have been successful with other downloads, so I am sure that the
problem is in the program. Anyone know where I can get a working
version of Sorry?

	Thanx in advance,

It worked when I got it, but...

"Sorry" - it only runs in colour
"Sorry" - it has no computer opponent
"Sorry" - it does not use direct manipulation to play

Pretty Sorry game - unless you are a Sorry addict. The implementation is
complete (ie. does everything original did), but it is unfortunate that no
computer player is supplied (it would surely be trivial), and the user
interface leaves a lot to be desired: you choose pieces to move by NUMBER
rather than clicking on the piece - stuff like that.
