OK, I wasn't paying attention then. I didn't expect to get a hard disk
anywhere near this soon.
Configuration is this: MegaST 2, TOS 1.4, Seagate 277N and ICD ST Host
Adapter, and PC-Ditto (the software only version). I can't get PCDitto
to use the harddisk to boot from. This is what I've done so far
Formatted and partitioned the disk.
Set up drive 'C:' as the boot partition for ST use.
Started PC-Ditto from floppy.
Formatted 'C:' using 'format c: /s' while in PC-DOS (3.3).
Put the ICDBOOT.SYS file back on 'C:'.
Put all the rest of the PC-Ditto programs on "C:'.
The system boots from the HD (as 'C:') in ST mode just fine. PC-Ditto
executes from the HD just fine, but demands that a disk with DOS be
inserted into drive A. I remember reading about some problems and fixes
or work-arounds for using a HD and getting PC-Ditto to boot properly.
As I said above, I wasn't really paying attention. HELP! What did I do
wrong, or what did I not do that I have to?
Thanks,
Terry Banks
P.S. Thanks, Ken. The drive works great!
