[comp.sys.atari.st] Monitor Problems

If bottom of display is not parallel with bottom of screen, sounds like the
magnetic deflection yoke on the neck of the picture tube has shifted. This
can also shift the whole display to the right or left (or up or down) as was
stated also happened. No need to adjust any controls, just reposition the yoke
(coils of copper wire surrounding neck of picture tube) until position of dis-
play is correct, and then tighten the screws to keep it there. Be careful,
high voltages exist inside the chassis!
As I was writing this, the thought occurred to me that there is another
thing that could shift the display and rotate it in relation to the screen
itself -- a magnet! Make sure you don't have any accessory which creates a
strong magnetic field in close proximity to your display.

Using a Colour Monitor with an Atari ST, I tend to lose vertical synch when resizing windows. The picture moves down about three inches displaying the horizontal black band (usually at the top and bottom of the picture). The picture is quite steady and will return to normal if the window is reduced and I power cycle the monitor. Is this a problem with my atari, my monitor or the software ? One package this happens with is EASYTRACK (a music package)

Any help appreciated
