[comp.sys.atari.st] oops

Sentine@UMass.BITNET (05/10/88)

I tried to send a letter to the digest earlier today, but I think I got the
address horribly mixed up. Please forgive me if this letter appears twice.

Hartmut Semken,
I read with extreme interest your letter on using the Hsync and Vsync
lines on the ST as a genlock input. But, since I really know nothing about
the subject, I am left with many questions.
First, I am guessing that Hsync and Vsynch apply to the RGB lines. What
kind of output does the VCR have to have (composite or RGB)? Second, is it
possible to do what you described without an RF modulator? When you were
using the external inputs, what did you use for screen output?
I guess what I really would like is to ask you if you would PLEASE
PLEASE PLEASE post the information on what you did and how you did it.
Code, hardware, video equipment, etc. I think I can speak for at least a few
others when I say we're dying to know!
I also bought my ST expecting a genlock "real soon now"...

Due to my clumsy fingers, the label for volume3 was eliminated in the indexes
which have gone out in the past two weeks. Enclosed is the contents of
volume3, with volume label. Sorry for any inconvenience.

				NOTE!!!

Please be considerate of the other users of netlib as well as those sites who
are kind enough to process email! Limit yourself to no more than five file
parts per request per day.

Some sites have been protesting about handling the large volume of mail which
is created by long requests. Without their cooperation, our file server could
not exist in its present form. Also, long requests also tie up our limited
resources here on lakesys while processing the email. (lakesys is not a
mainframe, it sits on top of a desk :-)

Help netlib@lakesys to continue serving the ST community with UUCP access and
cooperate with us. Thanks....

===============================================================================

To request files, send a message to netlib@lakesys.UUCP consisting of:

	send volume1/filename/part.uaa from archives.atari
	send volume1/filename/part.uab from archives.atari
	send volume1/filename/part.uac from archives.atari
	etc.

Be sure to include the volume name in your request (the example is volume1).

Note there is no space between the word "volume" and the number of the volume.

Subject for the message is not necessary.

Use the form above to assure that the parts will arrive as separate messages.
The parts are no larger than 50k each.

This index can be obtained by sending:

	send index from archives.atari

to netlib@lakesys.UUCP

A path which has proven to be successful for some users is:

	lakesys!netlib@csd1.milw.wisc.edu

Any comments, problems or suggestions, please mail to martin@lakesys.UUCP.
