It sounds neat, could you post a brief description? Well, I guess it is something of the form TSR (Terminate, Stay Resident). I think that it watches for a certain key combination: ( ALT+CTRL+I ) Here is the "net" and the "readme": There is no author mentioned. I know no address to write to. >From uunet!mcsun!hp4nl!philapd!ssp18!jvl Sat Feb 23 22:58:06 EST 1991 Article: 35494 of comp.sys.atari.st: >From: jvl@idca.tds.PHILIPS.nl (J. van Loenen) Subject: Re: printer data capturing Date: 6 Feb 91 11:49:49 GMT Organization: Philips Information Systems, Apeldoorn, The Netherlands Several questions have been posted last week about capturing printer data: >Does anyone know if a program that can redirect the print-data in a file >exist ? If yes, any ftp site? ]Get BARREL.ARC from any archive site (I highly recommend our site at :I, too, am interested in this. I remember hearing about a program called :barrel (or something like that) that was just the ticket. I looked over the Months ago I have asked the same question and received many responses. All of them telling me to get BARREL. I got barrel but couldn't use it, because barrel captures all the data in memory. So with barrel I could not "print" graphical on my 1M ST. Some weeks ago I recieved ICCA. A little program (~3k) able to capture screen/rs232 or printerdata straight to disk. It works well on my harddisk. I do not know if printing to a floppy will result in continious switching floppies. As icca uses a second screen for the userinterface, allocated when starting to capture to a (new) file, you may have problems to start it within programs that allocate all the available memory. If so, start icca before. I do not know the author of the program. I got it from a dutch bbs: "Dutchman". The archive contains a program and a little documentation. Because it is very small, and a lot of users seem to need it, here it is: Enjoy, Jan ############################################################################### # DISCLAIMER:Unless otherwise stated, the above comments are entirely my own # # # # Jan van Loenen Internet jvl@idca.tds.philips.nl # # Philips Information Systems UUCP ....!mcvax!philapd!jvl # ############################################################################### I found this program on "Dutchman", a Dutch BBS. The archive contained a 'readme' file, how to use ICCA. Here follows the translation: ICCA - I Can Capture Anything. Icca is a program to redirect output streams to files. The usage is as follows: 1. Start ICCA.PRG. The program will return to the desktop immediately. 2. If you want to redirect output, press <Control>+<Alternate>+I simulatiously. 3. Choose the outputdevice to capture. 4. Type the name of the file. It may contain a path. 5. To stop capturing, press <Control>+<Alternate>+I again. This time the file is closed. You can start capturing to another file now starting with 2 again. -- Prof L.J.
