[comp.sys.atari.st] Undo key on Uniterm

swood@vela.acs.oakland.edu ( EVENSONG) (03/26/91)

I was using a new terminal program today, and I noticed that the Undo key
sent some kind of character to the DecServer over the phone that allowed me
to run multiple sessions. Now, on Uniterm the Undo key is bound to the
escape sequence. I have tried to see if the macros would take a undo, but
it does not seem to work. Anyone have any ideas how I can get to this
character? I have tried just about every control combination.

Now if you are using a DecServer to acess your systems, then do the
following at the local> prompt:

1)	Define port local switch whatever_key_stroke_you_want

i.e. define port local switch ^_ (this is control-underscore)

the define makes it permanent for the port but it is not active until
you relog in to that port so....

2)	set port local switch whatever_key_stroke_you_want

i.e. set port local switch ^_

now, do the define first or every time you do that "magic" key
combination, you will be brought out to the local> prompt...

Have fun....

P.S. I typically run 4 different sessions and I just pop back and
forth..
