[comp.sys.atari.st] Mac Rom availability

weber@cobber.cord.edu (Michael Weber) (04/15/91)

I am looking for a source for the Mac 128k system roms. If anyone has
information about where I could buy them, I would appreciate the information.

I read something in one of the Amiga newsgroups that the ROMs are available
from Apple's Pacific distributor in Hong Kong for $25 (no typo). Also,
Toad Computers has them, but they are a bit expensive. I don't have their
number available, nor do I have any other info about Apple's distributor,
unfortunately.

(Apparently, Toad bought some Macs and took the ROMs out. :^)

I think the $25 ROM amount is the cost of handling, and I bet you
have to be an authorized mac repair center, or at least have an Apple
medallion.
