I just managed to squeeze GNU Emacs 18.55 onto my Atari Mega ST2's drive, and when I ran it, it loaded the elisp files through keydefs.el and then printed: "Exhausted Pure Lisp Storage". Can anyone help me squash this annoying message? This also seemingly prevents a ^Z suspend, ^X^C Kill emacs, and M-x suspend-emacs. (In other words, the only way I can leave Emacs is to reboot the system.) Please? -Scott Hofmann hofmann@sumter.cso.uiuc.edu

Are you loading special stuff? Are you only loading Lisp source, or compiled lisp code? For a standard load, plus my emacs.elc which loaded TeX mode, I never had such problems neither on my old 1040 ST or on my current Mega 4 ST. -- Ralph P.
