I finally got Usenet access here, and I've found that it takes a LOT
of time to work with-- as well as the fact that I'd rather not read every
message that comes along, so I wind up skipping messages.
There are terminal programs for IBMs and Macs that allow one to a)
leave the program running, b) it will dial out automatically, and capture the
necessary files, and c) present them to you later on. These programs also do
something else which marks them above the standard capture buffer: they
provide for tracking replies to messages.
In a sense, they present the info to he user as though they're still
on line, get the responses, and the next day they redial out and upload the
replies.
Are there any such programs for the ST? Or, conversely, are there any
script files that will allow Flash to do this?
Brian Siano-- no signoff text yet, but I'm working on it.
