I have a Supra 20 meg HD which uses a Rodime embedded SCSI mechanism. Can I upgrade to a higher capacity drive by just swapping out the mechanism? (I was thinking of using a Segate ST-157N 49 meg drive). Also, I have version 2.62 of the Supra software. Would this software be able to format the drive? Also, if there newer versions of the software, what are the differences? Using RATEHD.PRG, my current drive checks out at about 220 k/s and over 100 ms avg access (Very slow!). Would changing the drive mechanism speed this up? Help with any of these questions would really be appreciated. Thanks! Doug Tarico I9853100@ccit.arizona.edu
