My local Amiga dealer (a Computerland) had the Sidecar for the weekend (Dec 5-7). All in all, pretty impressive. This dealer's Amiga guru said that up to four hard disks could be hooked up to the Sidecar. He was under the impression that they could (or perhaps even must) be partitioned between the Amiga and the IBM-side. Thus, if a 20-meg drive was attached to the Sidecar, the Amiga and the pseudo-IBM could each use 10 Meg. I was also told that the Sidecar has four IBM expansion slots. It's supposed to cost around $600 ("maybe a bit more") and be available in a month or so. Could this be the solution to our lack of hard drives? Any ideas on the speed of a hard drive going through the Sidecar? It seems as though all the information available on the Sidecar is based on brief observations and speculation. Hasn't CBM released any "official" data on it yet? DRabe
