The 1080A printer driver I have works fine under 1.1 AND 1.2. I got it from Memory Location in Wellesley, MA (617-237-6846). It was written there, and is given free to people who buy the 1080A. It is also on a number of BBS's like the MicroSystems board in FL. You might want to make sure you have printer set to CUSTOM in Preferences and CUSTOM=PJ1080A (or whatever you have named it).
