Bay Area Amiga Developers' GroupE (BADGE) --------------------------------------------- The next meeting of BADGE will take place on Thursday, December 18, at 7:30 PM. Our guest speaker for this meeting will be Jim Goodnow II of Manx Software Systems. Also available at the meeting will be the complete Fred Fish Amiga software library (now up to who-knows-how-many disks), which contains source and object for many useful and instructive Amiga programs. If you have a machine which you can bring, please do so -- it will help tremendously with disk copying and program demonstrations. Donations of refreshments will also be graciously appreciated. Following the meeting will be the traditional post-meeting meeting and religious discussion at the Oasis (see map). Who Are We? ---------- The Bay Area Amiga Developers' GroupE (BADGE) is an organization of serious hardware and software developers for the Amiga computer. Our charter is to promote and facilitate the development of new Amiga products by providing a forum for communication between developers. Past meetings have featured talks by such Amiga luminaries as R.J. Mical (author of Intuition), Jim Mackraz (C-A's current user-interface wizard), Carl Sassenrath (author of the Amiga Exec), Dan Silva (author of Deluxe Paint), Neil Katin (AmigaDOS expert and author of the Trackdisk driver), and Bill Volk (lead engineer for Aegis Draw). BADGE meets on the third Thursday of every month, at 7:30 PM, in Building 200, room 002 (in the basement) of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. To get there, take the Bayshore Freeway (Route 101) to the University Ave exit. Proceed west on University past El Camino Real onto the campus. Proceed straight until the end of the road at the oval, and park there. Building 200 is on the left front corner. This month, because of a conflict with University exams, we will be using room 160-161J, which is in the Department of Political Science next store. Signs will be posted directing you to this room from the usual room. @@ | @/@ | El Camino Real / | ------ | | The | | |Oasis| | ------ | | | | | | | | |- | 1 | 2 The |--| Palm Drive |@| University | 0 | 8 Quad | | -----------------|----------------| 1 | 0 |--| |- | | |@| Embar | | |---\___ cadero | | | \___ | | | \____| | |- | | Page Mill Rd. |@| | |--------------------------------------------------|----------------| | | | | | | | | | @@ - @/@ <s> = Stop Sign |@| = Traffic light / = Palm Tree The Quad: ----------------- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The -| | /---------\ Palm Drive | Quad | | oval >------------------ | -| | \---------/ | | | | | *|<- room 160-161J | | | | | *| |S | ----------------- |e | ^ |r | | |r S| room 002 |a t| | | For more information, contact Tom Rokicki at: <decwrl!navajo.stanford.edu!rokicki> <rokicki@navajo.stanford.edu> or Bob Alverson at: <decwrl!sonoma.stanford.edu!rla> <rla@sonoma.stanford.edu> Both Tom and Bob can be reached at (415) 326-5312 or 326-5681.

I am not sure how to set the distribution on this new machine so if this is being read in West Germany it is out of place. To those of you in the East bay of San Francisco: In article <1198@navajo.STANFORD.EDU> rokicki@navajo.STANFORD.EDU (Tomas Rokicki) writes: > > Bay Area Amiga Developers' GroupE (BADGE) > --------------------------------------------- > >The next meeting of BADGE will take place on Thursday, December 18, >at 7:30 PM. There is usually a meeting at Winner's Circle on Telegraph in Berkeley and many people get together and all drive down together to the Badge meeting. We will be doing this again Thursday night. Meeting at about 5 pm and then heading to Badge by about 5:30-5:45. We wait for no man, so be there or be left. We have a van and hopefully we will have enough people to take more than one car. I hope that this will encourage you all to get out there and go to a great developers meeting. Mike expressed a question the other day I shall address, do you have to join Badge? Yes! How do you join? If you are there, you are a member. Easy enough. See you there! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Randy Spencer P.O.
