Help! Last night I was playing around with DPaint under 1.2 (release)
and my printer driver for the Canon PJ 1080A was spouting garbage to the
printer. I have verified that the problem is 1.2, not DPaint. Screen
Dump acts just the same as DPaint, but both work fine under 1.1.
Does anyone have a driver for the PJ 1080A that works under 1.2? I just
downloaded the newer Canon driver from PLink last night, but it won't
work with 1.1 or 1.2. Did I just get a bad D/L, or is it really junk?
The Canon driver from PLink won't even print, it gives me an error
message about being unable to find the printer destination (something
like that, I don't remember it exactly).
Yes, I do have the correct printer selected in preferences! Since 1.2
reads the /devs/printers dir into the printer selection requester, is
there any real use for the "custom" option anymore?
Any idea why the Canon driver works with 1.1 but not 1.2? I'm not sure
of the original source for the driver, I got it from my dealer.
If anyone has a driver for the Canon PJ1080A, I would be very grateful
if you could send it to me. If everyone else with a Canon is in the same
boat, please post it!

Some of the 1.2 beta and gammas releases had bugs in the printer device (or so I've heard). Hope this helps!

I am using the RELEASE of 1.2, I still don't know why my Canon PJ1080A
driver won't work under 1.2.
Does anyone have a driver for the Canon that works under 1.2??
