I recently purchased EA's Marble Madness and would like to present some of my impressions of the program. They've faithfully reproduced the ersion with some minor arcade version with some minor variations. The game uses a mouse, joystick, or trackball. The music, though familiar, sounds a bit staccato. Very occasionally the screen-scrolling falls behind the movement of the ball, which can lead to disorientation. In the two-player mode the animation slows down somewhat. One annoying error occurs at the end of the game when the last screen with the final score quickly switches back to the initialization screen, giving the player only a short time to view his score. Despite these minor flaws, the game performs admirably and is an excellent demonstration of the Amiga's abilities. If anyone is at all interested in purchasing the game, don't hold back -- you won't be disappointed.
