[comp.sys.amiga] MIDI Tools?

mark@unisec.UUCP (02/02/87)

I recently purchased a Casio CZ-1 which I intend to interface to my Amiga.
I've ordered the MIDI Gold interface through GO AMIGA! and am awaiting its
arrival. What I'd like to have, and will probably write myself if I can't
find a freebie, is a "voice editor" which would allow me to easily compose
variations of the three envelope types (DCO, DCW, DCA) and monitor them on
the CZ-1 at the same time, possibly by continuous cycling of scales or
chords. What I had in mind by way of a presentation format is something
similar to the "design instrument" screen in Music Studio, except that the
three envelopes would be presented on the same screen (might get busy). If
anyone has made any inroads in this area, I would like to hear about it. If
you're willing to part with any source (in any condition) that you've written,
I'd be most appreciative. If anyone would like more details on the CZ-1, I'd
be happy to post more info (probably to rec.music.synth). Thanks.

Two good choices!

Another good choice!

Golden Hawk Technology (makers of MIDI Gold) are working on one.
I don't know a lot about the particulars, or what plans they have
for it (like if it's going to be freeware/shareware/commercialware);
you might call them and ask.

..Bob

PS I have no financial stake in the above products or vendors.

Thanks for the feedback, Bob. I did try to call them via information but
the operator had no number. I guess I'll have to dig through my last
AmigaWorld (or my next one) for a phone number.
