Could someone at C-A kindly post a brief explanation of how to use the clipboard.device properly? I.e., explanations of CLIP_ID, how it is incremented, etc. What is the Post function, and what is its relationship to the Write function, etc. Thanx in advance. -Mitsu

(chapter on clipboard.device). You'll also need IFF specs to do it right. The book contains a fairly thorough explanation of the clipboard and some utility routines for posting, etc. But although the docs say that all data written to the clipboard should be in IFF format, I think the example code only shows how to write IFF text to the clipboard. If you're planning to clip something else (like graphics), you'll need the IFF docs and routines to help you. carolyn -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Carolyn Scheppner -- CBM >>Amiga Technical Support<< UUCP ...{allegra,caip,ihnp4,seismo}!cbmvax!carolyn PHONE 215-431-9180 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
