[comp.sys.amiga] Schematic Design and Testing Software for the Amiga

fdfishman@watcgl.UUCP (02/19/87)

Hi,
I am looking for some schematic capture/simulation software for a friend.
I personally know of no software, but I am including his request.

Can you advise me if there is any schematic capture with simulation
software available for the Amiga? The simulation would ideally permit
the generation of timing diagram displays as well as state table
          output.

The schematic capture stuff is the computer supported generation
of hardware schematics. This permits the designer to "define"
a digital circuit. The simulation stuff permits that design to
be tried in theory before the prototype is actually constructed.
This is another example of CAD/CAM. The PCLO program is layout
of the design on the board after successful prototyping. It is
one step beyond the stage I'm interested in.

I Have found one item of interest, see page 46 of the Jan.
'87 Byte, the Logicworks program for the Mac.

                                                 Thanks,
                                                  Robert Henderson.

You can e-mail me all comments and I will summarize the results to the net
if there is enough interest.

Thanks

This Cutsie saying space left intentionally left blank until such a time as
   1) The above mentioned user can think of a cutsie saying
   2) The above mentioned user with the aid of some friends can think of a
      cutsie saying.
or 3) Sufficient time has passed such that plagerism of someone else's cutsie
saying would not be noticed by many.

Soft Circuits the makers of PCLO are releasing to Beta testers a beta version
of their schematic capture package. It will interface with the PCLO+ PCB
software. It will not do simulation. They envision having a simulator
package in the future, I would say at least a year away.
