I have a sound digitizer that I built for the std bus standard, and lately I've been toying with the idea of jumping it to the expansion slot. There are a couple of signals required like IOREQ*, RD*, WR*, on the z-80 std bus that I'm not sure what the equivalents are (if any). Are there lines that come close to these? Since this is only for me, I'm not concerened about being compatible with the ACME box/board/drive/software standard. I'm leaning towards fixing its address somewhere in the unused zone; any one have suggestions on whats a good address for this? (this is an idea that I picked up from the JFORTH booth at the SF commodore show, where they had hard coded an LED display in a similar manner, if memory serves, I recall they used 0x70000) Any problems with this address? Whats the lowest address I can use? (I kinda get the feeling 512k is the noninclusive lower bound) Your thoughts and ideas, heck, even flames are welcomed! thanxs Stergios Marinopoulos S&M Engineering our motto: no pain.... no gain -- % UUCP: { lll-crg, seismo, sun } !rocky!stergios % % ARPA: f.flex@othello.stanford.edu % % USnail: Crothers Memorial #690, Stanford, CA. 94305 % % Pa Bell: (415) 326-9051 %
