I was just using the Amiga at my school. I was in Kickstart 1.2 and just wanted to see if Flight Sim II would work. It came up with alot of static on top of the scenery with the program crashing in a matter of seconds. Well, I guess it would only work with Kickstart 1.1. Bam same problem, static, crash , black out! I tried this over and over again with the same result. Now I wonder if 1) there are different versions of the Amiga 1000 (software wise), 2) could running Flight Sim with Kickstart 1.2 have damaged this Amiga (I recall that the Pet computer could suffer hardware damage through software), 3) or could it be that this Amiga 1000 has defective chips. I know I can get Flight Sim II working fine at home, but I am not willing to run some tests because of the remote possibility of "2)" above being true. Wilson Cheung

I always use Kickstart 1.2 when I play Flight Simulator II. By the way, I got my Amiga in October '85.

Sounds like the machine at your school has only 256k, or a bad 256k ram cartridge. I seriously doubt that you can hurt an Amiga with software. John 7OHN
