My Aztec C Version 3.4 update (developer + utilities) arrived yesterday. Amazing! Though I was quite annoyed at the prolonged wait (I started calling in December, I think), I am quite pleased with the amount of work and improvement that has been put into the product. In particular, I'm happy to announce that the MIDI program that I was having trouble with now works. MANX has added some new routines, int_start and int_end (as well as documentation for equivalent inline assembly code) which save and restore the appropriate registers for the small code memory model. The timer interrupt handler now works as expected and the record/playback feature is useful. Thanks to all who responded to my earlier plea for help. We were down for a few days, so I may have missed some mail or net responses. I ALWAYS answer mail, so if you didn't hear back from me, blame it on a "short circuit". -- | Mark R.
