--- A question: does anybody know if Commodore or Addison will publish new books on hardware, intuition, etc? I have gotten the impression that the 4 manuals are kind of buggy, and with 1.2 out, and the new hardware coming, I was hoping to get something good and recent before spending >$100. Thanks Dan Edwards (MILNET) edwards@nosc

We won't be publishing new books since the manual rights are owned by Bantam (AmigaDOS manual) and Addison Wesley (rest of the manuals). Bantam already has a 1.2 version of the AmigaDOS manual. You could call A/W and ask them if they plan to put out 1.2 versions. If they are planning 1.2 versions, you might want to buy something like the Sybex Amiga Programmer's Handbook while you're waiting for 1.2 manuals. I think the Sybex book includes descriptions of the 1.2 functions. A/W's number is 617-944-8660 (orders), 617-944-3700 -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Carolyn Scheppner -- CBM >>Amiga Technical Support<< UUCP ...{allegra,caip,ihnp4,seismo}!cbmvax!carolyn PHONE 215-431-9180 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
