...... I just finished the last race in Marble Madness and I'd really appreciate someone telling me where the "secret" screen is, or telling me that it's just a rumor and there isn't one. Well, my brother has the Commodore 64 version of Marble Madness, and I finally got to the secret board. It is accessible from the very first screen. Now, I went to a friend's house and tried to get to the secret board on the Amiga, but no go. The Amiga version's screen isn't as wide as the64 version, so I couldn't even get to the correct spot. Now, my friend says (and I believe) that the Amiga version doesn't have the secret board. There are a couple reasons: 1) Fact: there are two versions of the game, one which runs on the Amiga, and the other which runs on other machines. 2) Fact: two different programmers wrote the two different versions. Therefore, the two versions are probably (and in reality are) rather different from each other. 3) Rumor: my friend says that the Amiga version was a port from the original Atari arcade machine (because both worked on 68000 systems). I believe this, because the Amiga version doesn't use the entire width of the screen, and because EVERYTHING is so similar. Soooooooo, I think that there is probably no secret board on the Amiga. Siiiiiiggghhhh. Oh well, C'est la vie. -- Chris Lishka /lishka@uwslh.uucp Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene <-lishka%uwslh.uucp@rsch.wisc.edu \{seismo, harvard,topaz,...}!uwvax!uwslh!lishka
