[comp.sys.amiga] Hard Disk Alternatives

slc@hoptoad.UUCP (04/17/87)

My memory was incorrect. I was thinking of the Kodak disk Wayne describes...

/* ---------- "Hard Disk Alternatives" ---------- */
In addition, several months ago Konica announced a 5 1/4" super-floppy
drive that holds something like 5 or 10 MEG. Has anyone heard about
OEMs doing anything with this drive?

    i haven't seen the konica's for sale anywhere. pacific micro systems
sells the Kodak 6.6Mb (5.5Mb formatted) 5.25" drive with controller for
the PC for ~$800 (i just got one for my AT clone).

My question is: how easy or difficult would it be to interface the Kodak
drive to the Amiga's native slots (without using A2000 PC bus)?

P.S. Wayne, thanks for the reply.
