[comp.sys.amiga] subbuffers, inqbuffers

I like to use addbuffers, but sometimes I get carried away. I would like
some suggestions, apart from rebooting, about removing added buffers or
even determining how many buffers have been added. It would be nice if
a script file (Execute file) could use a function to determine how many
buffers have already been added and not add more if the number was already
adequate.

What I really want is setbuffers. Is the name self-explanatory? I want
to be able to set the number of added buffers, not just add to those
(who knows how many) already present. Surely Commodore can help here.
Lattice 3.03 compatible source (I got the 1.2 includes and libs) would
be nice. I ain't got 3.1 because I may get Manx instead -- making up my
mind.

Why, by the way, wasn't addbuffers setbuffers to start with?
