Keywords: I have noticed that there are a number of ads for less-than-$100 audio digitisers around [e.g. MicroSearch has 'Perfect Sound' for $89.95] Has anyone had any experience with this or other cheap digitisers. e.g. Where does it plug in - exp buss, parallel port, joystick port... What is it's sampling rate. How many bits. Linear or logarithmic (or other)? Whats the software (SunRize) [ is this really how you spell rise in <AmE>? ] like? for Perfect Sound and others. Anything else you can think of. Explaination for the curious: I want to play with speech recognition (of the connectionist variety) - probably develop the net on the XMP, and run it on the amiga. Please email replies to mjw@f.gp.cs.cmu.edu I will SUMMARISE and post. ta in advance. -- ==================================================================== Michael.Witbrock@f.gp.cs.cmu.edu US Mail: Michael Witbrock Dept of Computer Science Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh PA 15213-6890 USA Telephone : (412) 268 3621 [Office] (412) 681 3806 [Home] ======================================================== "Be good, be kind, in whatever you say and do, and remember: keep cool till after school."
