Symptoms: Sometimes moving a window by dragging the title bar doesn't work. The window frame will move, but taking my finger off the mouse button doesn't cause the window to move to the new location. This happens both on the Workbench screen and other (VT100) screens. I'm not short on memory - this happened when I had 300K+ chip and 900K+ fast memory free. Side effect - when this happened, I tried moving the VT100 (v2.6) window around in the VT100 screen, while doing a kermit transfer. The window refused to move, but the small kermit status requester inside the VT100 window did move, just as if the attempt to move the VT100 window had not failed. Doing this several times, I made the kermit requester move right off the top of the window - and back up from the bottom of the window. However, when it reappeared at the bottom, all the text in the requester had disappeared, and shifting it a couple more times eventually crashed the machine - no Guru, just flashing light and screen going blank, then a reboot.
