<< >My Amiga tends to trash disks fairly regularly. Enough to be very << >frustrating. I can usually (but NOT always) trash a disk with the following << >scenario: emacs a file, start a subcli, emacs another file within it, << >write the file - BANG - disk I/O error. << << If this is the EMACS that Mike Meyer is supporting, you should << report the version number and problem to him. The 'track 40 blues' bug has Thanx for the pointer, Matt. The above sequence doesn't cause mg1b problems, so I'd be surprised if it caused mg1a problems. Also, having two emacs's running is kinda gross. I'm working on that now... Also, because Amiga MG has _so_ many compile-time options, comes with source, and can be compiled with both MANX and Lattice, bug reports should include the flags fed to the compiler (PREFS variable in the Amiga makefiles), which compiler, and system configuration. Saying that it's the Amiga version doesn't hurt, either. Finally, the correct e-mail address for bug reports, suggestions (the reply to most suggestions is liable to be: When you get it done, let us have the code for the next release :-), etc. is mg-support@berkeley.edu, or ucbvax!mg-support. Thanx, <mike
