Firstly, I would like to thank everybody who has mailed me bug reports and comments on DME, DTERM, my SHELL, and all the other odd programs I've written. DTERM: Currently my priority project. I plan to fix all the bugs people have reported, add some functionality, and release another version soon. (Specifically, I'm taking out the SLAVE stuff since Steve Drew's AUX: handler works so much better.. I am putting in an external command execution facility to make up for it). DTERM doesn't set the protocol properly for XMODEM... especially when you've picked XON/XOFF in preferences. This will be fixed Various other things will be fixed/added. I'm currently in correspondance with Dave Wecker on ideas for a totally new approach to a terminal program, but it will be quite a while before you see any results. Until that time, I will continue to expand DTERM. The next release will hopefully have enough low-level support to emulate a VT100 (though this emulation will never be as complete as Dave Wecker's VT100 emulator). DME: Many Many comments/suggestions/ideas... my TODO list is huge!! There were a couple of bugs reported, but none major enough to warrent another distribution. As soon as I complete the current fixes/additions to DTERM, I will start work on DME. SHELL: Last on my priority list. I *have* made a couple small changes. The next release will not be for quite awhile considering the backlog of other projects. I do not know if Steve Drew plans on releasing another M version before I do (usually I release my version, then he incorporates the changes into his visual version). You can tell whos version you are using by the way the line editing is done... I let the console do it, whereas Steve puts the console in RAW mode and adds cursor control/visual history, etc... PIPE: No current plans for future enhancements. Since this is a relatively small program, all bugs will be fixed immediately. MWB: Plans for future enhancements includes (mainly suggestions from Bryce): -to specify the color of other MWB screens -to specify the title of other MWB screens -to make requesters appear on those screens instead of the actual workbench screen. -Matt
