[comp.sys.amiga] Diga! A500

My copy of Diga! was here when I got home from work. It looks pretty
nice with script, configuration, and emulation files. Overall it looks
good.

BUT, the VT100 emulator is mostly wishful thinking. vi acts a bit
funny, and vn is downright broken with the Diga! VT100 emulator. Since
the emulation is provided by a seperate file, maybe a real VT100
emulation will show up soon.

The other thing I miss is WXmodem. Windowed Xmodem on People Link is
the only way to fly as far as commercial services go.

I was really hoping that Diga! would do it all, but it looks like I'll
be using three term programs now. Diga! for most stuff, Comm for People
Link, and Dave Wecker's VT100 for calling into work. Oh well.

I just found out that the local (SLC, Utah) Amiga dealer has an A500 in
store! I'll be checking it out tomorrow in person, but it's nice to know
that the A500 isn't vaporware after all! How's the rest of the country
doing on the new Amigas?

At the Consumer Electronics Show held in Chicago this weekend, I saw about
5 amiga 500's, 2 amiga 2000's (one with 2 drives), and a little over half
a dozen amiga 1000's.

Is anyone interested in a fuller report on CES? I don't want to waste net
bandwidth if not, and also I didn't attend every day, but I could at least
post a cursory summary if there's interest...
