[comp.sys.amiga] Falling into a market niche

The June 1 issue of BusinessWeek has a good article about how some companies
are using modified micro-computers to produce desk-top videos. The article,
"Now Playing At An Office Near You--Desktop Videos", (pg. 85) mentions the use
by companies like Ernst & Whinney, Citicorp, Federal Express, and other Fortune
500 corporations. "...Cupertino (Calif.) market researcher Infocorp guesses that
it will dominate what by 1990 will be a $600 million market for animated
computer graphics. . . .In the home, too, desktop video has a bright future. In
that market, the only personal computer for which desktop video programs have
been written is Commodore International Ltd.'s Amiga, which costs less than
$1,000."

Apparently the author of the article doesn't know about the 2000 which should
have more potential to penetrate this market. Other than Electronic Arts (also
mentioned in the article), is anybody else planning to go after this market?
