[comp.sys.amiga] uw, my other dumb question, MCC pipes

1. UW works fine for me. If you are having trouble with term and TERMCAP
look in server/uw_tty.c and you will see an array of usable term
and TERMCAP variables which uw puts in your environment. Only
one of these makes sense for hte amiga version, the ansi. Except
not really, since you cannot get 80 columns. So best use the
TERMCAP entry recently posted by the guy who write the Amiga uw
program. For the pyramid I have a guess: uw is sending characters
too fast to the pyramid and crashing it. This used to be the
case on 4.1 on a vax; any random micro could bring it down.
   I am using uw version 3.4 on 4.2 and 4.3BSD on 780s.
Future plans: uw4.1 recently posted by the original author.
2. Sorry about my stupid question re workbench interlace. I forgot
you have to reboot; too used to emacs.
3. on the egad shar file at purdue there is a file missing,
image.c. Requests to doc@purdue.etc bring no response.
Can someone point me at some other machine with a copy?
   (Private email)
4. Can those of you who have memory cards (and who can
reach me via mail) please let me know how yours is working?
   Especially insider type cards.
5. Are there any other FTP-able archives besides purdue?
   Especially interested in printer drivers!
6. Do MCC pipes work as named pipes (a la sys V), or just the
   equivalent of the unix '|'?
Thanks,
ron
