[ Okay, so I'm not outa here.... ] I just fixed my Amiga. One of the 8520's was indeed bad. I replaced the bad one (got it right first time, too!), and all is well. To celebrate, I decided to cook up another display hack. Since I recently became the proud owner of a copy of HAKMEM, I thought I'd try implementing Munching Squares (since it was the only one of the three display hack programs I could figure out; no speeke PDP-6/10). Munching Squares wasn't as wonderful as I thought it would be. I tried colorizing it, varying the algorithm, and doing all kinds of strange things. With all due respect to Bill Gosper, I think it's a bit on the boring side (compared to other things). Nevertheless, it is a piece of history, and perhaps someone else can pervert the algorithm to make some really crazy designs. You'll find the sources on comp.sources.amiga, and a uuencoded executable on comp.binaries.amiga. EDITORIAL_MODE (1) Personally, I think it's a bit dumb to have to go to three different places to get all the pieces of a program you may want. It's also a bit inconvenient for the poster to have to post to three different newsgroups to get everything out, when s/he could just whip up a single shar file and send it off. Does this *really* help the net? Three seperate headers? Three seperate postings? Hmmm...... EDITORIAL_MODE (0) Hope you find the code of interest. Now then, lemme see if our news software will send to the comp.sources.amiga moderator correctly.... _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ Leo L.
