[ I saw the best lines of my generation destroyed by madness ]
It's about time someone did this: a decent overview of wordprocessing
systems available for the Amiga, including (but not limited to)
text editor/preprocessor combinations (TxEd and AmigaTeX, for example);
WYSIWYG programs like TextCraft Plus, ProWrite, and VizaWrite; and
non-WYSIWYG wordprocessors like Scribble 2.0 and WordPerfect.
I doubt that anyone has access to *all* of these -- if you do,
*please* post a comparative review to the net -- so what I'd like
to do is to hear from individuals who own just one or a couple
packages, and then post a sort of cross-referenced comparison.
Please include everything about the program you can think of,
including, but not limited to:
"feel" maximum file sizes WYSIWYG?
fonts? font sizes? styles?
footnotes? footers? robustness
cost update-ability visible page breaks
complexity simplicity "learning curve"
Your help is sincerely appreciated, and, as I said, I will summarize
to the net. I and countless others will be forever grateful.
