I've encountered a perplexing problem with Textcraft. I normally boot my system with my Lattice C compiler disks. I'm running version 3.10 under Workbench version 1.2. I can execute Textcraft from the CLI with no trouble except that it returns an error code when I finish. But then my current directory isn't right for the files I want to access and Textcraft won't let me change directories. So I loaded the Workbench (LOADWB), inserted the disk with my Textcraft documents, and opened the appropriate directory. Now Textcraft writes "sys:textcraft" as the default tool in the icon files it creates. That won't work if Textcraft isn't on the boot disk, so I used the Workbench Info function to change the default tool to "Textcraft:textcraft". Then I double-clicked the document icon. I get a requester telling me to put "Textcraft:" in any drive. When I do so it starts loading the program. Finally, the background screen for Textcraft appears, followed shortly by a requester asking me to replace the disk I removed to make room for "Textcraft:". I've tried it both ways, removing the Workbench disk and removing the document disk. The requester is what I expect. However, when I insert the disk identified in the requester nothing happens. Normally, the drive light comes on to verify the disk. About half the time the pointer won't move. If it moves it won't do anything to the requester. After about half a minute the screen goes black and I get a Guru meditation number: 00000025 00000000. Has anybody else experienced this? Does anybody at CATS know anything about it? Does anybody at CATS want to know anything about it? --Fabbian Dufoe 350 Ling-A-Mor Terrace South St. Petersburg, Florida 33705 813-823-2350 UUCP: ...akgua!usfvax2!jc3b21!fgd3
