I have a 20 Meg Supra Drive that did something like the other one posted here. My drive will, on occasion, be reading something off disk, and just stop. The workbench degrades, can move and size windows, but no refresh. Last Wednesday I was mv'ing, (renaming) a file when the same thing happend. The file was being mv'ed from dh0: to dh0:mac. Dh0: is a 10 Meg partition. I can read files on dh0: but can't write there. When I boot or try to write to dh0: I get 'SupraDrive not validated.' plus booting gives 'Key 10212 used' or some message like that. Any ideas on how to fix this? Formats format the entire disk. Any ideas on why everything might be hanging? Can a non-validated disk be validated? I JUST got thru to Supra, and they told me that there was a problem with the old device driver, and they are sending me a new one. They said that I will have to re-format the drive, and start over. Anyone have 30 floppies, or an Amiga streaming tape I can borrow for an afternoon? I hope this fixes everything. I'll let you know if anyone want to. (know) Public Domain vi Anyone? What is the best PD terminal package? Mail for religous answers. David Childs Canetix Corp childs@cadnetix.UUCP
