[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga Smalltalk?

craig@unicus.UUCP (Craig D. Hubley) (07/18/87)

Hey, there's a PD Atari ST version of Smalltalk out there somewhere.
They're talking about it on comp.lang.smalltalk. It may just be a "tiny"
version or something, but its probably either portable or was moved from
something portable.

Anyone want to wean the home hackers off BASIC ? :-)

I suspect that that is Dr. Timothy Budd's Little Smalltalk. The Amiga
version can be found on Fish Disk #37 (I think - not near my Amiga or
the Fish Disks or index to same). The book "A Little SmallTalk" by Dr.
Budd should be picked up if you're serious about fooling with this.

Little SmallTalk is to slow for that, and doesn't have graphics
support (I've got the code to add it, just never got around to doing
it).

Me, I'm still holding out for Scheme, or maybe a Common Lisp (just so
long as I get ether SLOOPS or CLOOPS).
