This has been asked before, but I am now in a position where I need to know some answers: 1. Word Processors: A new dealer of the Amiga is wondering what is the the word processor of choice for the Amiga. I have heard that Scribble+ is much improved over the original Scribble (like it is now a true WYSING word processor, not flaky, etc.). He is planning on carrying WordPerfect, but there is a niche for a less expensive, but capable program. On a related note, is TextCraft really that bad? What are other word processors that are worth a look? 2. What is the present state of the Transformer software? I saw a much earlier version, so I realise it is still slow, but what kinds of "serious business" applications can be run? (i.e. Dbase, Lotus, programming languages, maybe word processors). What kinds of problems are you running into with it? 3. Desktop Publishing: Most of what I have seen printed using an Amiga has been disappointing, considering I am used to a Mac. (No flames, please. I think the amiga is cool.) Is there one that handles printed fonts particularly well? Unfortunately, even imagewriter output with appropriate fonts looks better than what I have seen with the Amiga. Please respond. This dealer is serious about the Amiga, but is getting tired of comments like "Well, it plays great games, but if you want a serious business machine, you need a PC".
