Ok, so it's like this... There's a few Amigoids here at Eikonix who would like to take on this unofficial pet project. We manufacture a textile design system called the Designmaster 9000 (tm) that among other things like a really fancy color editing workstation has the capability of generating plots up to "E" size on an Iris ink jet plotter. What we want to do is put a general purpose IFF picture file reader on our system that will allow us to read IFF files from an Amiga through a high speed serial port and translate the IFF data into our own format of raster image data. Our system has higher resolution and a lot more colors available, so there shouldn't be a problem in the translation from "Amiga image space" to our own. I seem to recall that not too long ago somebody (maybe Leo?) posted some code for just such a beast. I figure that all I need to do is keep the code that does the IFF decoding and add my own code to convert to our image format. Does this sound reasonable? Does anybody have this code that they could either post or e-mail to me? We have an "OK" C compiler on the target (DEC) machine, and I'd rather try to convert somebody else's work than try to write my own. Please reply soon so that I can turn this over to the other Amigoids here.
