I recently bought a NEC CP6 printer. The printer driver "nec_cp6" does a good job on escape sequences translation and graphic rendering but unfortunately doesn't translate some international characters like accent alpha characters. In fact it seems that all characters codes higher than ASCII 128 are translated into some other lower value characters codes (most of them being blank). This is very ennoying as all my word processor applications won't print french (or other foreign languages) messages which I often use. The NEC printer supports both the Italic and IBM character sets. Does anyone have a NEC CP6 printer driver which would work (for example on the CLI you type a line of ALT H or ALT I after "copy * prt:" and get the right accent characters, or type them in the notepad and then print), or does anyone have the SOURCE CODE of the printer driver (or anything else which would help). Roland.
