[comp.sys.amiga] very little Lattice 4.0 info

childs@cadnetix.UUCP (David Childs) (08/12/87)

I received my latest issue of AW, and it has the Lattice 4.0 add in it. I
called Lattice and was told by customer support that they couldn't give out
any information because they didn't have any. The add should have been a
RSN type add. They don't know the when or the how much. They will notify
registered owners when it is available.

BTW, I liked the ad.

In the Lattice conference on BIX they were saying 'September' as the release
date, but they said it in such a way that 'October' may be more realistic.
One of the nicer things they did say the new package will include is an
updated assembler that can handle the C= include files. They have done a
lot of work on the assembler to make it more usable as a standalone program
and apparently fixed Blink to the point where it will now do everything
Alink can do but faster (including true overlays). I'm hoping they did some
work on the libraries which seem to be the weakest link of the compiler.
It should be a nice christmas season for everyone.

These opinions are my own and no one elses, but you knew that didn't you.
