Hi Group,
You use Usenet for a long time, fine.
You like Usenet for a long time, fine.
You can't make the transfert of the binaries... not fine...
All the work is made for you by a little developper in Europe.
From September 1986 up Today (quiet one year), ALL sources and binaries
are downloaded and compacted in Disks like Mr. Fred FISH.
The Name: Usenet Disks. The first Batch of ten is now ready.
Does that interest you ? This is PUBLIC DOMAIN. All copyright notices,
disclaimer files and remarks are UNTOUCHED. Programs are compiled with the
most recent compiler of the moment.
If you want some copies, let me know... The price ? same as Fish Disks.

addition to the ClickToFront-type utilities. ClickUpFront
installs an input handler that brings windows (and screens) to
the front when you double click in them. Sources & execs.
Author: Davide P. Cervone
Cmd_V4 Version 4 of Carolyn's Cmd utility. Cmd redirects the serial
or the parallel device to a file. Useful for "offline"
printing. Sources, executable & documentation included.
Author: Carolyn Scheppner
DEMOlition A display hack inspired by a demo seen on a BBC micro a long
time ago. Sources and executable included.
Author: Kriton Kyrimis
HackWB The purpose of HackBench is to provide the source for a
Workbench-like program; it is not intended to be an actual
Workbench replacement. Some features are not supported, such
as Info, Snapshot, Format, and DiskCopy. Use of HackBench
takes more memory since Workbench is in ROM. Sources & exec.
Author: Bill Kinnersley
HeliosMouse Here's a little program called HeliosMouse, which is the
addition to the SunMouse-type utilities. HeliosMouse installs
an input handler that activates windows whenever the mouse is
moved over inactive ones (i.e., when you move the mouse
accross window boundries). Sources and execs included.
Author: Davide P. Cervone
HunkPad_V2 The only utility you'll ever need to fix Xmodem transmitted
files. If the file is an executable program, and your Amiga
tells you it is 'Not an object module', this utility fixes
that for you. Sources & executable.
Author: J.W. Hamilton
Journal "Wouldn't it be great to be able to record and play back the
events that went on in a window?" You could make "Guided
Tour" demonstrations, or you could record the events that
demonstrate a bug that you have been able to produce and send
the recorded events to Commodore as documentation of the bug.
Very nice. Sources, exec & documentation included.
Author: Davide P. Cervone
MandFXP Here comes the *fastest*, I mean the *FASTEST*, mandelbrot
program on the go. Demonstration version. Executable only.
Author: Bruce Dawson & Steve LaRocque
Midi There were quite a few requests for the midi schematic. Two
files downloaded from the LCE BBS to Usenet. The first is in
ASCII format, and is a narrative describing how to assemble
your interface. The second is a 640*400 IFF format picture
that can be viewd with dpaint.
Author: Steve Stevens
MouseClock Turn your mouse pointer into a digital clock which updates
once a minute. Source and executable.
Author: John R. Hoffman
PopMenu It has been perceived by some that Intuition's requirement
that menus be attached to the very top of screens is a flaw.
Many windowing systems provide "pop-up" menus which can appear
anywhere on the screen, typically for context-specific input
of a multiple-choice selection. This is the source code to a
module providing pop-up menu functionality that is reasonably
compatible with Intuition menus. Example of use included.
Author: Derek Zahn
Scroll It creates a background system for browsing your disks,
reading files, execute programs. Usefull if you do not remeber
exaclty the spelling of the program name. Specially nice the
scrolling variable speed. Unfortunately it's not PD. No
scources. It's supposed to expire on december.

Amiga_Adven A port of the classic Adventure game originally
written by Will Crowther and Don Woods. Has been
extended to a 550 point version. Also speaks as it
prints (though I found this feature annoying).
Minimum 512K recommended. Binary only.
Authors: David Platt, Ken Wellsch, Dave Haynie
CBack CBack is an alternative startup module for Lattice C 3.10
that allows you to create load and stay resident code. We
recommend that you use this for ANY program which does not
need to use the original CLI window for output OR for a
program which needs to be memory resident (such as PopCLI or
MemWatch). It is the intention that you need to do minimal
changes to your code in order to use this technique.
Object Module and documentation included.
Authors: John Toebes of The Software Distillery
ClickToFront ClickToFront extends the user-interface so that a
double-click into a window brings it to the front. Now as
long as you can see any part of a window you can bring it
to the front without having to hunt for the page gadgets.
Version 1.1, binary only.
Author: Bryce Nesbitt
Dme_V1.27 Version 1.27 of Matt's text editor. Dme is a simple WYSIWYG

windows, and ability to iconify windows. Sources, executable
and full documentation included.
Author: Matt Dillon
FFPatch This is a patch program to upgrade Microsmiths FastFonts
V1.01 to V1.02. The patch is to solve a problem with
ScreenBlanker and ScreenBlanker2; both of these programs in

a modem program when the blanker dims the screen. Also
included is a patch for FF and FastFonts which can improve
system performance in multitasking.
Author: Microsmiths, Inc
FileReq Another file requester, but this one also has a fast pattern
matching capability. Sources and binary included.
Author: Peter da Silva
GravityWars The object of this game is for one player to hit the other
player's ship with a missle, before being hit yourself. The
ships and planets don't move, but aiming the missle in the
presence of gravity fields and black holes makes hitting your
target difficult. Version 1.04, shareware. This directory
includes only sources in Modula-2. Binary can be found on
disk Usenet#6.
Author: Ed Bartz
IFFReader Yet Another IFF Reader. Handles HAM, HIRES, and overscan.

flowing through the pipe. Version 1.2, sources, exec and doc.
Author: Ed Puckett
PlaceWindow PlaceWindow - starts a program, and make the window look like
you want it to, not like the person who wrote the program
wants it to. Includes sources and binary.
Author: Mike Meyer

is really a game in disguise. Sources and Binary (includes
also the sources and exec of SpriteDump).
Author: Peter da Silva
SmallLib This is for all you who program the Amiga in 68000 assembly
(Both of you... :-). It works just like Amiga.lib except it's
only 11K instead of over 88K. What's missing?? All those
mangy C language stubs you don't need anyway. Library in
binary only.
Author: Bryce Nesbitt
Viacom Another of Leo's amusing little hacks. Sort of a political
statement regarding the quality of service of a certain San
Francisco area cable TV service. Includes source and exec.
Author: Leo Schwab
WarpText Fast text rendering routines, to be linked with application
programs. Reported to be able to display text as fast, or
faster than, "blitz". Sources in assembly only.

Sources & executavle & doc included.
Author: Steve Ludtke
Cmd For those of you who have asked for the ability to capture
printer output in a file... Cmd redirects serial.device or
parallel.device output to a file. This allows you to capture
the printer output of many applications (including screen
dumps) in a file. Sources, Icon, doc and Exec included.
Author: Carolyn Scheppner
Ehb Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about
EXTRA_HALFBRITE mode, whether or not a given machine has it,
and how to detect if it's there. This little program may
help you. Source, documentation and executable included.
Author: Leo Schwab
Int_Handler ID-handler is an AmigaDOS device. It supports OPEN, CLOSE
and READ. It is used to generate unique identifiers. Every
time someone opens ID:, it generates a new 16 digit decimal
number. This number can then be read (in ASCII) from the
FileHandle obtained by opening ID:. Sources doc and exec.
Author: Ed Puckett
IMandVroom This is a very slightly modified copy of the Kevin Clague
MandelVroom Mandelbrot generator program. It uses his "ring
detector" to draw an approximation of the interior strange
attractor contours. Executable Only.

constellation ? You can also see any field view of what
you want ! See all ReadMe for better understanding. Sources
executable and .bin files included.
Author: Darrin West
ScottDevice This is the mountable MicroForge driver that I mentioned.
Several people wanted it so here it is... Two notes: 1. It's
a generic 4 parallel port SCSI host adapter device driver.
Those of you with a yen to hack TTL gates could cook up an
interface for $20 - $30 to use with this driver. 2. It
includes notes on making a DF1: partition for use with
DiskCopy... Sources and executable included.
Author: Scott Turner
ScreenHack I am currently enjoying the "oportunity" to use a composite
color monitor with my Amiga. I decided to try to improve my
outlook on life by disabling colorburst. While it can't match
any of Leo's gems, here is a cute screen hack: For the curious
this TOTALY mangles the copper list, changing a MOVE to
bplcon0 from $A200 to $2000. It will only work if INTERLACE is
OFF. Executable Only.
Author: Bryce Nesbitt
Shell Version 2.06M of the famous Mattew's shell. Much new things,
good debugged by Steve. Includes sources, doc and exec.

Usenet#7 Disk and written in 68000 assembly.
Author: Bryce Nesbitt
TestRaw Many times I have wanted to set 'stdin' in my programs to
what is often referred to as 'CBREAK' mode. Basically, that
means that every time you call getchar() you get a character.
Up until now there was no easy way to do that. Sources and
executable included.

real quick. It does not support directories or atob/btoa
shell archives, but that may come later depending on demand.
Sources and executable included.
Author: Craig Norborg (comp.sources.amiga moderator)
uShow This is the smalest version of an IFF ILBM pictures shower.
Written in assembly, it takes less than 1 Kbytes. Read
.doc file to see the littles limitations. Executable and
documentation included. Source available on request.

Sources, executable and documentation included.
Authors: Phillip Lindsay and Davide P. Cervone
Public_Install Two differents Install commands... These special versions
of Install are for shareware/freeware/public disks. This
is because you don't need any module of AmigaDOS to make
a disk Bootable (AmigaDOS is under licence, ehhh !). See
Documentation for more info.
Authors: Bryce Nesbitt, Scott Turner
Tek4695_Driver By popular demand, here is the uuencoded binary for a
Tek4695 printer driver I mentioned a few days back. (I
won't post the sources until/unless I get some assurances
from C-A that it's ok to post them, since this one had its
origins in the RKM. Copyright infringement risks, you know)

dio This module makes it *very* easy to use EXEC devices, such
as the serial.device. It's generic and can be used with
any EXEC device. It allows you to easy open libraries, get
multiple io channels for a device, read, write, do
asyncronous operations, etc.... Sources for include only.

(not all functions implemented). Executable only, found
on comp.amiga.binaries.
Author: Unknow...
Dterm Beta version of another terminal emulator package.
Currently, there is not enough low-level support to be
able to even partially emulate a VT100. The emulation

GravityWars The object of the game is for one player to hit the other
with a missle before being hit yourself. Since the ships
don't move and the planets don't move the game sounds easy
right...Wrong. All the planets have gravity, so the missles
bend an twist, even reverse. It's very easy to hit yourself.
Written in Modula2, executable and documentation only.
Author: Ed Bartz (Version 1.03)
Control Remember our recent discussion on what the printer.device
should be expected to do, and what an application program
should be expected to do ? (Thought you would) This program
is the result. Basically, once you fire it up it hangs
around, waiting for anyone to do a DUMPRPORT. It then fires
up a requester, and lets you play with the values being
passed in the IORequest block. Sources & Executable.
Author: Andy Finkel (Commodore Amiga, Inc.)
Xcopy This a replacement for the Amiga DOS Copy command. Something
that always bugged me about the ADOS copy is that it sets the
date of the destination file to the current date. This makes
it impossible to look at the dates of 2 files to tell which
one is the newer file. Mycopy will set the date of the desti-
nation to the same date as the original file. This makes it
very easy to tell which one is the newer file. Exec only.
Author: Lee Robertson
MenuText Along with the documentation file, you should also find two
programs, MENUTEXT, and RESTORE (sources included). Together
these programs allow you to customize the text of other
people's menus; if you have ADD, you can also modify the
keyboard shortcuts of a running program.
Author: John Russel
Exec_Support Several requests won this code for the rest of the net.
This is the 68000 equivalent of the exec_support library
(sorry no C interface). Sources only.
Author: Bryce Nesbitt
PS This little utility shows all processes, even the "private"
ones. It works in "one shot" mode and can replace the CLI
command "Status". Sources and Executable included.
Posted By: Dan Green Author: Unknow (who are you ?)
sb SB is a Structure Browser. You can explore the structure
of all defined structures into the Amiga. SB displays system
structures via pointers found in other structures. You start
from IntuitionBase. Sources and documentation included.
Authors: Nick Sullivan & Chris Zamara
sc SC is a fractalish terrain generator. The nature of the
terrain can be changed by playing with the numbers in
'Range'. The created terrain with SIZE = 8 is 256 pixels
by 256 pixels, but only the top 200 pixels are displayed.
Sources and executable included.
Author: Chris Gray
DropShadow The program creates and maintains multi-level transparent
drop shadows of windows on the Workbench screen. The shadows
are created by attaching an additional bitplane to the
Workbench's display bit map, but doing so in a way which is
transparent to the Workbench or its application programs.
Executable and documentation only.
Author: James Mackraz (Mr. Intuition)
tdebug This is version 1.00. It will give you most of the IORequest
information for any device(s) you choose. TDEBUG works by
intercepting the EXEC SendIO() and DoIO() vectors. The new
vector checks the sent request against the list of devices
you want displayed and places the IOStdReq part of the
request in a FIFO (Allocating a copy of the IOStdReq).
It then signals the main program. Sources & Doc included.
