Hi, Have any of the netlanders considered sending a little letter via US mail or phoning up the vice president of sales and/or marketing at Pixar to express your opinion about the Pixar/Bols Ewhac debacle? I'd imagine that Pixar is about as image (gee, a pun!!) conscious as most other stodgy corporations. If their sales staff understood the culdron of misgivings that the company's leagal eagles are brewing in the Amiga community, they might put some leverage on within their own compnay to lay off of Leo. Leo's demo can hardly be compared to RD. The whole debate is pretty laughable. The quality of the image/rendering in Leo's short demo is vastly different from RD. The subject matter is rather dissimilar too. The fact that a presumably juggling unicyle character happens to appear both places is pretty much coincidence. That would be like some Holywood mogul claiming he had a lock on the concept of a blue Pontiac driving down a street. If I were Leo I'd have done the same thing. Being an entrepeneureal type myself, I'd be conscious of irriatating a potential future employer. Some of the Amigans are irritated by Pixar's actions and considering shunning them. Imagine Pixar, if Leo irratates them, they'd probably consider shunning him. I don't know about the rest of the readers, I'd probably find work that I'd enjoy doing at Pixar, and would be willing to take at least a few steps to protect future potential employment there. Withdrawing the Amiga demo was reasonable, honorable and smart. Don't fret, I'm sure that there will be (and already are) some demos and applications that are close to being equally entertaining and useful as the Amiga RD knock-off.
