Just a brief note, 'cause I don't know much yet. I ordered the OXXI BENCHMARK Modula II compiler (in response to Leon Frenkel's note published here about three weeks back) beta version, to take advantage of the free add-on software (~$500 worth total goods for ~$199, free upgrade to release version) on August 7, and it arrived September 1 (today). The pack included 6 disks, and two huge manuals, 8 1/2" by 11" by 1.25". I don't know if the offer is still open, but if others are considering it, I just wanted you to know that this one is NOT vaporware. Considering that it came from California to Virginia, that I don't do plastic, and I'm sure they had to wait for my check to clear, I am quite pleased with the response time. I think this group is going to be a winner. I will have more to post after I actually stick some disks in the machine and try to make it work (Hey, you can't have everything!) but for now I have a living to make. Thought someone out there might want to know, and wanted to get a preliminary word out while the offer might yet be open. Of course, I have no financial stake in OXXI (but I might want to if this turns out to be as nice as a quick flip through the manual indicates.) Kent, the man from xanth.
