I am truly sorry that I have posted this reply on the net. I attempted to reply directly, but Rutgers had not heard of the VAX called "Physics", so... In article <836@physics.UUCP> he write: >Has anyone seen or heard of a Tektronix emulator for the amiga. One was written by a guy here at Caltech using Dave Wecker's VT100 emulator as a base. It uses dual playfield mode so that the graphics can sit behind the text on the Amiga. I seem to remember it being a 4010 emulator, but am not quite sure about that. It is on most PD Amiga BBS's, but if you can't find it, I will archive my version and send it to you. Please let me know if you want it. If I don't hear from you, I'll forget about it. -- Glenn Lewis glewis@cit-vax.caltech.edu

It allows screen sizes up to 700 x 440 and supports DPaint II and Aegis Draw formats. It also has many other common features. I have used the package for VT100 emulation, but not for Tektronix emulation. I hope this help. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Michael Colligon uucp: {ihnp4|seismo|caip}!cbmvax!mikec | | Quality Assurance Dept. arpa: cbmvax!mikec@seismo.css.GOV | | Commodore Business Machines or mikec@cbmvax.UUCP@{seismo|harvard} | |------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | "I say we take off; nuke the site from orbit. There is such a beast on one of the Fish disks - it is called a Tek4010 emulator I believe. It is built on top of a early version of the vt100 emulator that many people on the net seem to be using. I have upgraded it a little, along with incorporating it into the latest vt100 version (2.6). I use this program to emulate a tek4014, but a 4010 is "downwards" compatible. It is supposed to support a color terminal (I think its called a 4100), but I am not able to test this feature. If you, or anyone else on the net would like it, I can e-email it to you. Nick

Last week, in reply to a request, I posted an article mentioning that I have a tek4010/4014 emulator built on top of vt100(v2.6). I have gotten more than 20 requests for it so far, and they are still coming in, so I think that I should post it rather than use e-mail. So, for all of you who replied, its coming soon. Look for it in the amiga sources and biniaries newsgroups. If you can't get access to them, or to Purdue via ftp, let me know and I'll work something out. Nick
