Directory Master version 1.0b is being mailed out. The author, Greg Peters, is already working on 1.1 (or 1.0c?). If you have any suggestions, comments, praise, etc. he is very much interested in hearing from you. Since he doesn't have access, I am willing to pass messages along to him. Directory Master is a disk cataloger (and a Formula I is a car). It sorts about 38,000 records in 2 minutes and 30 seconds (catalog the Fish library, add it to itself 3 times, and sort). Each record has the name (disk, directory, or file), date, size, and complete path. You can set what parts of each record you want displayed, as well as what types of records (disks only, files only, etc) or patterns. You can print what you selected for display to the printer or a file. You can delete based on pattern or select by mouse. Add databases together. Compare databases/disks/directories with databases/disks/directories and show differences/matches. Stop reading this and just go play with a copy: I can't describe the thing! You can search based on a pattern. Move *quickly* through the display. Basicly, you can find where you have the friggin program you are looking for.
