<Finally I can say something>

Many rumors (mostly correct for a change) have floated around about
an upgrade program, which will allow people with A1000's to trade
them in for a discount against an A2000. This policy is now official
and all dealers have been notified.

The policy is very simple:

	A1000 + $1000 = A2000.

In other words, you take in your A1000, give it to a participating
dealer along with one thousand dollars, and he will give you a
new A2000.

A1010 (3.5" external drive), A1020 (5.25" external drive), A1680 (1200 baud
modem), and A1080 (analog RGB monitor) will all work with the new A2000.

You might as well donate the A1050 (256K front internal RAM expansion) in
your A1000 (if you have one) to the dealer as well since it cannot be used
with the A2000.

I hope this explains the policy sufficiently. If you have any questions,
MAIL them to me, and I'll post the replies if I think they would have wide
interest.
