The following USENET users have been sent Beta 2 of the Tektronix (R) 4010/4014 emulator for the Amiga: Jim Sanchez, Mic Kaczmarczik, Edward Bartz, Howard Hull, James R. White, and Martin Cohen. Please let me know if one of you does not get it by January 28. This beta fixes the following problems with Beta 1: * Garbage left on right and bottom of screenn when executing a clear screen * Wrong position of the Alpha cursor when changing from Graph to Alpha * Bypass not cleared in Graph mode Beta 2 adds lots of features to the previous beta: + Selections of screen size (640-700 x 400-440) and number of bitplanes (1 or 2, 1 is much faster). + Color RGB requester + Save IFF (can use it with Deluxe Paint II, not DPaint) + Save in Aegis Draw (TM) format. + Make Copy menu item (to get hard copy of screens) + PAGE/RESET key (emulated with the ENTER key) + Draggable screen that can be turned on and off like SeeILBM (thanks Carolyn!) by clicking on the left mouse button. + One can now switch between VT100 mode and Tek mode at will. We appreciate a prompt response on this beta release. Thanks for your help. -- Marco Papa Felsina Software Tektronix is a registered trademark of Tektronix, Inc. The first articles were interesting, and I am interested in the progress of all amiga projects. But I think this is more of an in house tech report than a product announcement. Now if I knew enough about Tektronics Graphics terminals I would have volunteered to help beta test, so the message that let people help makes sense. But ok, we know about it now. I don't need the gory details. Just makes sense to me. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Randy Spencer P.O. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned here that I have a tektronix 4010/4014 emulator built on top of vt100 (v2.6). I received many requests for it so I have send the source and executable to comp.amiga.sources and comp.amiga.binaries, and to Fred Fish. I assume they will come out soon. The uuencoded executable is 75K so I don't really want to clutter up email too. If you can't get access to these groups and/or can't ftp to purdue, or can't wait, send me a disk and return postage, and I'll send it all to you.
