If you have purchased Textcraft and wish to upgrade to Textcraft Plus,
you can do so sending your original Textcraft diskette and $35 to:

	Commodore Promotion / Textcraft Plus
	P.O. BOX 695
	Holmes, PA 19043

You will be sent a new Textcraft Plus package.

All registered owners of Textcraft will be sent a postcard informing them
of this upgrade policy.

Textcraft Plus has been significantly improved over Textcraft. The most
major improvements are:

	- Works under Kickstart V1.2

	- Supports Multi-tasking (i.e., can be sized)

	- Can access multiple drives and hard drives

	- Support international keymapping.

These are not major improvements, these are major fixes to a poorly
written program in the first place. To charge $35.00 for these
changes is ridiculous. This should have been a free upgrade or
a minimal charge for the disks and/or new manuals.

Second the motion. We seem to be drifting into a mode with the Amiga
of publishing brain dead software (Textcraft, WorkBench 1.1, Aztec C,
Lattice C, TDI Modula II, etc.), then charging an arm and a leg for
"upgrades" to what the purchaser should have gotten in the first
place, working software.

I would really prefer to deal with software publishers who, if they
insist for marketing reasons on releasing unfinished software, at
least have the good grace to provide upgrades to make the software do
what it was originally advertised to do, for the cost of media.

I don't own any of these except wb1.1, so sorry to any who released
the upgrades for the $1.35 per disk I pay for media.

Kent, the man from xanth.
