I couldn't make it to the FAUG meeting last night, but Tom Wright
did. Here's what he said on our internal Amiga conference:

> Amiga 500 commercial, FAUG
>
>
> It was like a thirty second video test flight. It was on at 10:50 on
> channel 2. It's about time!
>
> I got both the September and October Robo City News at FAUG last
> night. Dale Luck showed a videotape 'source unknown' showing the closing
> of Amiga in Los Gatos and a farewell party at a farm somewhere. He also
> said he was taking orders for black satin jackets with the Amiga beach
> ball and logo on the back. They are around $110 and take about two
> months to get but they do look very nice.

[How do I go about getting one, Dale?]

> A couple guys from HT showed a drum machine program, some Sonix songs
> that sounded just like real studio recordings and the Mousetrap and
> Firepower games which both look like fun.
>
> A person from Aegis said a free upgrade to Sonix was being developed.
> Two people from 360 Systems (?) showed an excellent port of the Mac Dark
> Castle. InnoVision Systems showed their Video Effects 3D which did
> impressive 3D animation like flying logos and shattered logos coming
> together.
>
> Allen Hastings showed some great Videoscape 3D animations and a
> videotape made from animations which showed a red sports car zooming
> down a road and right over a familiar looking unicycle. Then we see
> missile carrying helicopters attacking a familiar looking building (in
> Sunnyvale) with a Arati sign in front. After the attack there is nothing
> left but a hole in the ground and the sign.
>
> Next month's meeting will be at the Palo Alto Hyatt again. They are
> thinking about going back to Rickeys. They will mail out notices and put
> one in the paper if they do. They are having their third (?)
> anniversary party during next months meeting and plan to have all the
> original Amiga designers there.

So how many points do you get for nailing a unicycle? Is it a felony, or
misdemeanor? Does one need a license or permit to create large holes in
such a fashion?

:-) :-) :-)
